Nature's Porch

Nature's Porch

Nature's Porch is our environmental center located on the shores of Walton Pond. It was completed in 2013 and is built with lumber harvested off the property during the Halloween Storm of 2011. This handsome post and beam building with its large inviting wrap around porch exemplifies Winding Trails dedication to educating children and families, the environment, and fostering a love for the outdoors.

Our biggest program at the Porch is Nature's Open House. Nature's Open House is a program for all ages featuring a Fairy House village and other nature exhibits, like mushroom foraging, nature art, and nature scavenger hunts. It's a great program to introduce families to the wonders of nature. The program is held in early October.

Porch Hours

The Porch opens the last weekend of April and closes the first weekend of October.
Hours:
Saturday and Sunday 12 pm - 5 pm
