School Programing

Welcome to Winding Trails Environmental Education School Programs! We are here to help you plan unforgettable school field trips centered around environmental education. Our mission is to connect students with the natural world through hands-on learning experiences that build environmental awareness, spark joy and curiosity, and encourage responsible stewardship of our environments.

Whether you're an educator looking for curriculum-aligned outdoor programs or a school administrator planning your next field trip, we offers a variety of engaging, age-appropriate experiences for nature and science education. We hope to support science learning done in the classroom while fostering a deeper connection to the environment.

We currently have lessons about habitats, abiotic/biotic needs, amphibians, reptiles, trees, food webs, life cycles, how to move safely in the woods, animal movements, elements, carbon cycle, water cycle, predators/prey, photosynthesis, and ecosystems just to name a few!

We currently offer nature education programs for preschoolers, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade, but we are willing to work with any age group from preschool all the way through high school! Please contact Elyse Cahill at elyse@windingtrails.org to learn more about school programing.
