Winding Trails is a nonprofit that succeeds in large part due to the hard work and dedication of many volunteers. There are opportunities to support the organizations in various capacities.
Board and Committee Members
There are volunteers the serve on the Board of Directors and various committee and provide governance and fiduciary oversight of Winding Trails. The Board is made up of 12 individual that serve 4-year terms with three members rotating off each year. There are also five committee that are charged with handling a variety of responsibilities. These committee are made up of Board members and committee members that serve one-year terms. The committee include Area & Facilities, Development, Risk Management, Finance and Insurance, and Board Stewardship. Occasionally, there are special Task Forces that are also created.

Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.) Program
The C.I.T. Program is designed as a two-year program for young adults entering ninth and tenth graders. It is a program designed to teach you how to work with children. There is a combination of classroom and hand on work. Competition for the few available openings is intense. Winding Trails, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving people from Farmington and surrounding communities, providing year round recreational and educational activities for the enjoyment and growth of families and individuals of all ages. Winding Trails is dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of the natural woodlands and waterways that allow outdoor programming, character development, and other activities that strengthen the lives of those we serve.
