ABOUT WINDING TRAILS

THE TRAILS FUND

Impacting our youth, education, and environment.

February 2007

Dear Friend,

Winding Trails is on the move to enhance educational activities for our children and is committed to improving and preserving our natural environment. Your additional support drives this process. While membership, camp, and program fees provide the resources to operate and maintain the facility, your donation to The Trails Fund will directly impact the lives of our youth and environment through:

  • CAMPERSHIPS
All young people need exciting environments that offer supportive relationships, guidance, high expectations, and encouragement to try new things. Everyone is deserving of this opportunity regardless of their financial status. Studies show that a session of summer camp strengthens identity and self worth, improves social, physical and thinking skills and consistently promotes positive values.
  • EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION
Today’s schools’ emphasis on testing and evaluation requires educators to concentrate on all children meeting high academic standards. Winding Trails seeks to broaden and assist the educational experience through experiential learning. These programs provide an important component to children’s education through hands-on experience and focused reflection. This process results in turning critical thinking into critical action, which is a valuable life skill.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION
The health of our forest and waterways is slowly deteriorating with time. It is a resource that not only defines Winding Trails but is also essential to our community. An effort is underway to reverse this process with physical improvements and procedures to ensure a healthy, pristine environment that can be passed onto our children’s children.

100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to providing opportunities and solutions for children and our environment. You make it happen. Please give generously today!
