Members will be given a two-week priority for program registration. However, some programs may be opened to non-members at a higher fee to support the class. Please contact the main office to see if a specific program will be available to non-members.

Please Note: If you require a reasonable modification to rules, policies or practices, the removal of architectural, communication or transportation barriers, or the provision of auxiliary aides and services to participate, you should forward your request for such accommodations to Winding Trails along with any special needs that you would like to discuss. YOUTH PROGRAMS

5th & 6th Grade After School Program – Ski, Skate & Sled

Winding Trails once again is offering an exciting after school program for 5th & 6th graders. Winding Trails will provide transportation from West Woods School to Winding Trails or you may drop your child off. Parents must provide transportation home. With the help of our snowmaking system this program will give your child the opportunity to Cross Country Ski, Ice Skate or Sledding. We will also provide Ski and Skating lessons for those who may need it. Other activities will include sliding down our Giant Slide, arts & crafts, sports and games. Winding Trails will provide all ski equipment and sleds. You must provide your own ice skates. Registration is required by Monday, January 22nd.

After School Gliders

Learn the sport of cross country skiing. This fun based 5-session class will be a group cross-country ski lesson especially designed for kids. Your child will learn the basics of cross-country skiing on level terrain and become familiar with the snow. Skis, Poles and Boots will be provided. Classes meet at Garmany Hall Ski Center. Registration is required two days prior to the start of each session.

Skating Clinic

Learn the fundamentals of skating while having fun. Skating skills to be covered include forward and backward skating, stopping and turning. These skills will be introduced through games and exercises. Classes meet on Walton Pond depending on the weather. Helmets are recommended. Registration is required two days prior to the start of each session.

Hockey Clinic

He Shoots! He Scores! Learn the basics of hockey in a fun non-competitive fashion. Everything from skating and shooting to passing and positioning will be covered. Participants must have previous skating experience. Helmets with a cage are required. Winding Trails does have helmets available if needed. Registration is required two days prior to the start of each session.

Kid's Night Out!

What do pizza, ice cream, games and movies all have in common? KIDS LOVE THEM! Games, pizza, ice cream sundae bar, big screen movie, and endless amounts of fun await you here at the trails! This program has evolved into a very popular kid’s event, so early registration is advised. Grab your stuff and head over to the trails for a night out that you will never forget. Sorry, parent’s not allowed! Please bring clothing that is appropriate for outdoor and indoor play as well as provide a sleeping bag/blanket and pillow for the movie. Registration is required two days prior to the start of each session.

Martial Arts for Children

This fall the Tae Kwon Do program is celebrating it’s 2nd year at Winding Trails. The program is offered by William Clato-Day who is a World Tae Kwon Do Federation, certified 4th degree black belt. Mr. Clato-Day would like to thank parents and students who have supported the program the past two years; and he welcomes new students. There are a few spaces left in the 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. classes; and new students are especially needed in the 7:00 p.m. class for students age 14 and up.
