CLIMBING TOWER DAYS
This is a 2.5-hour program introducing the Bouldering Wall, Climbing Tower and Zip Line.
The Climbing Tower and Zip Line are designed to provide a more individual challenge and to build self-confidence while still relying on the group support system. The tower activities include the 8' x 30' Bouldering Wall for practice before the climbing tower. The Climbing Tower is 40' high consisting of 4 sides; a 15' beginner wall, a 35' intermediate wall, a 35' advanced wall and the fourth side is a 60' x 35' cargo net. The 300' long Zip Line is located at the top platform of the tower. A safety system (belay system) is used with the Tower and two Extreme Engineering auto belay system. Registration is required at least 3 days prior to the start of the program.

NATURE'S OPEN HOUSE
Spend a beautiful fall day at Winding Trails. Come and see over 80 custom built fairy and gnome dwellings set along a half-mile stroll through our wooded trails. Parents' Choice Award winning author Tracy Kane, will be on hand reading and signing her books on Fairy Houses. Stop by and say hello before you head over to the woods to build your own fairy house in the permanent Winding Trails Fairy House Village.

PUMP-TOBER-FEST!
Don’t have the time to travel all the way to Keene, NH for the annual Pumpkin Festival? Then come on out and help us carve pumpkins right here. We are looking for many talented pumpkin carvers of all ages to join us. We will provide all of the carving tools and pumpkins. There will be a DJ playing music to keep us going as we work hard carving. And if you need a break you can bounce in the bounce house or try one of our fun pumpkin games. Join the fun in Garmany Hall at the Winding Trails Halloween Costume Party. You can also take a ride on our Hayride. Our goal is to carve 100 pumpkins and then set them out for everyone to admire. Whether you want to just come and see the display at the end of the night or you want to help us carve, put on your best costume, it is sure to be a lot of fun! Light refreshments will be provided. This is a pumpkin festival done up Winding Trails style; it’s a Pump-Tober-Fest! Registration is required at least 3 days prior to the start of the program.

TOM TURKEY HUNT
Try your luck and skill in this annual Thanksgiving event. You and your entire family will follow clues around our very own trail system in hopes of being the quickest to find our fleeing fowl. This year we will have two divisions. Division one for those up for a challenging Trail Run and Division two for those looking for a nice walk in the woods. Please choose which division best suits your family as Tom Turkey will be watching! The winning family will leave with a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner! Registration is required at least 3 days prior to the start of the program.

HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
Winding Trails, the Farmington Parks & Recreation Department, and the Exchange Club of Farmington are teaming up to offer this annual Holiday Program. Bring the entire family out to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their winter wonderland cottage, and make sure they bring their wish lists. While waiting to see Santa, enjoy a ride on the Old Fashioned Horse-drawn Hayride, visit with some of Santa’s animals, decorate holiday cookies, and more. There will be plenty of holiday cheer.
Registration is not required for this event.

Fee: One non-perishable food item (per person) to be donated to the local food bank (after all ‘tis the Holiday season.) This activity is open to Winding Trails Members and Farmington Residents only.
SANTA'S CALLING!
Give your child a thrill this holiday season by having Santa Claus give him/her a personal phone call. Imagine your child’s delight as St. Nick talks about what your child wants for Christmas, his/her best friends, or even his/her school teacher. Contact the main office to have an information form emailed/mailed/faxed to your home or download it off our website. Information forms will be available starting November 23rd. The deadline for all information sheets to be turned in is December 10th. Santa himself will make all calls the week of Dec. 13th - Dec. 17th between the hours of 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Ho! Ho! Ho!
